EATA eJournal Research - Call for papers
some days ago you received the eMail about EATA eJournal research. Today I send it again with the request whether you might circulate the Call for Papers as widely as possible within your own communities, especially to non-TA colleagues. Maybe you have some ideas who could be interested in making a contribution to the new eJournal.
I wish you all a pleasant summertime.
With warm regards
Marianne
IJTAR - International Journal for Transactional Analysis Research
CALL FOR PAPERS FOR INAUGURAL ISSUE
This new peer-reviewed e-journal will appear for the first time in summer 2010. Published by EATA, it will contain papers about high-quality empirical research using any scientific paradigm across the full range of TA applications.
A wide variety of research is welcomed, including but not limited to: pure as well as applied research; research that tests existing theoretical models within TA; research that tests the effectiveness of specific interventions and programs; outcome as well as process-oriented research; randomised, control group research designs; real life process research; quantitative and qualitative research methods
The journal has an international and multidisciplinary editorial board (see attachment for details) and articles from different cultural contexts are encouraged.
Closing date for papers for Issue 1 is 31st December 2009 - and we welcome early submissions.
Papers to be in English, must be original, with identities of subjects protected and informed consent obtained where applicable.
Submit as word documents to the Editor on IJTAR@adinternational.com.
Please read the attached documents before submitting - IJTAR Overview, IJTAR Guidelines for Authors, IJTAR Guidelines for Reviewers.
Although IJTAR will be in English, we expect to provide abstracts in a range of languages. There may also be support from Translations Committee for authors where English is not their native tongue.
We encourage you to submit articles - this is a our chance to put TA on the professional map and especially to demonstrate to regulatory bodies that we do indeed have research that supports recognition of the TA approach.
Feel free to contact the Editor Julie Hay on ijtar@adinternational.com or on Skype as juliehay for an informal chat if you want to discuss options - and also if you would like to get involved in other ways because we will also be looking for more reviewers.
With best regards
Julie Hay, TSTA
editor of IJTAR

Training Evaluation Workshop TEvW - a new way to become a CTA Trainer?
PTSC would like to introduce the outline and the requirements for the Pilot Training Evaluation Workshop (TEvW) for experienced PTSTA. The pilot workshop will take place
December 2nd - 4th 2009 in Budapest.
Please contact
Matthias Sell TEvW Co-ordinator: institut@inita.de
if you are interested to take part in it.
All PTSTA whose extension or 2nd contract expires on December 31st 2009 must apply for the first pilot TEvW available before October 1st 2009. Those who do not apply will definitely revert to CTA status.
We are aware not everybody will be able to take part in the first workshop - and we will find a way to have more and regular workshops for experienced trainers to make sure we will not loose all these competent people as trainers and supervisors.
It is a pilot and we will have a lot of people involved. We really want to express many thanks to participants, for their willingness to take part - even not knowing the decision about the status of CTA trainer will be made this year - and markers of the paper work, the staff and a "reflecting" board for their willingness to serve and spend their time to make it a good experience. We want to create a space and stimulate a spirit of learning together.
And we will collect full and detailed feedback from all people involved in the pilot workshop to improve the process. We will also revise the "language and wording" of the text, but we decided to publish it as soon as possible, to give participants enough time to prepare.
PTSC wishes to express many thanks to all people involved, spending such a lot of energy; time, ideas and enthusiasm create the outline and the requirements for the pilot: Matthias Sell, Jacqueline Dossenbach, Roos Ikelaar and Sabine Klingenberg.
I also want to express many thanks to Trudi Newton my esteemed colleague as Chair of T&CC and in TACC for her support end engagement in the process to support the idea of having the pilot and create the new status of a CTA trainer.
You are all very welcome to give feedback and comments to: Sabine.Klingenberg@abakushad.de
Warm regards
Sabine Klingenberg

Training evaluation workshop
>
> The pilot study for the NEW WAY ended (see the report in the attachment written by Nicole Pierre) and PTSC wishes to express many thanks to all people involved, spending such a lot of energy, time, ideas and enthusiasm: the participants and their trainer, the German working group chaired by Ute Hagehülsmann and Werner Vogelauer, Charlotte Sills and Trudi Newton, Pio Scilligo, Resi Tosi, T&CC and Nicole Pierre, who takes care of the process.
>
> Good to know all the work will be valued in different ways:
>
> 1. First of all the focus is on the process to become a TSTA: the training, the evaluation, the exams and research.
>
> 2. The response to the research about the process of becoming a TSTA, which is created and led by Charlotte Sills and Trudi Newton, is positive. This process is an ongoing process and we are looking forward to the results.
>
> 3. As a result out of the ideas in the pilot study PTSC decided to run a Pilot workshop: Training Evaluation Workshop to assess experienced trainers to become a CTA trainer on December 2nd to 4th 2009 in Budapest. The requirements and the details will be developed by the task force and decided and published after the PTSC meeting in Rome in July 2009. There will be an evaluation process about the pilot workshop too. Trainers who are interested in the workshop should contact Matthias Sell, the TEW Coordinator to be registered (sell.matthias@inita.de). Matthias created the new format and did a brilliant job. Many thanks!
