Dear teaching members of EATA,

on behalf of EATA council we regret to have to inform you that, after much searching and negotiation by our colleagues in SIAT it has not been possible to secure a venue which can accommodate all of our meetings, exams and TEW in Grado. In view of this the Executive have decided to change to venue to Rome where we can use the facilities at the Salesian University and where all of our requirements can be met.

We hope that you will understand the reasons for the change of location and that you will be happy to come to Rome. For many people, it will be easier to travel to Rome than Grado, and it will be wonderful to meet in the 'Eternal City'.

Thanks to everybody who gave us input for the program and content.

CTA & TSTA Exams – in Ljubljana, Slovenia on Thursday 3rd of July 2008
Dear Colleagues,
This is a call for examiners for both the CTA and TSTA examinations and also for volunteer supervisees and audiences for the TSTA examinations.
We are once again asking for as many examiners as possible to make them selves available for the Exams in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

We don’t know how many candidates we will accept because we need to know before how many examiners will be available. TA is a great success in Europe nowadays, more and more people want to be certified, and COC faces several problems in organizing exams due to lack of examiners, mainly at TSTA level.

We have yet established a waiting list for candidates: it is a hard decision because we may stop the enthusiasm of colleagues who want to undergo the exam, and because it is very unpleasant for them not to know when and where they could finally be examined. I imagine that all of you, certified members, remember how big the commitment to face the exams is, and how stressful it can be. Our colleagues do not need this surplus of stress. It will be very important to offer fair exams to our colleagues also because we are in a region of Europe where our community is growing fast and well.
The exams will be on the 3rd of July 2008, the examiner’s and candidates’ meetings will be held on the day before, 2nd of July, in the afternoon.
Please respond to this as soon as possible. If for any reason at a later date you realise that you cannot be present at the exam site please let us know as soon as possible. Thank you very much for your support of our TA community!

TA i ett internationellt perspektiv med Kåre Kristiansen,
generalsekreterare i EATA.
Kåre berättar om hur engagemanget och spridningen av TA ser ut i Europa
och övriga världen just nu. Kåre ger också exempel på sitt arbete med TA-utbildning i Ryssland.

Vägen framåt för dig som är transaktionsanalytiker

IFL - Institutet för livsterapi i Malmö AB - startar under 2008 Skandinaviens första sammanhållna utbildningsprogram för blivande lärare och handledare i TA. Utbildningen förbereder deltagarna för internationell examination som Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analysts (TSTA) enligt normer fastställda av the European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA) och the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA). Utbildningen vänder sig till behöriga transaktionsanalytiker med CTA-examen enligt EATA/ITAA.
